Ollies

Welcome to Ollie's

Breakfast and After school Club is run from Ollie's nursery with access to the school hall for Year one and above to ensure that age appropriate activities can be offered.
We offer a wide range of activities for the children to enjoy. We are able to use the school kitchen for baking and cooking, their ICT suite for homework time and using the computers and also their outdoor area to ensure the children can play indoors and outdoors during these sessions.
Children are dropped off and collected from the nursery by their parents/ carers. They are taken to their classrooms by the Breakfast Club staff and the infants are collected from their classrooms by the after-school club supervisor. A list is provided to the junior class teachers, who send them through to after-school club. A register is always taken and children will not be allowed to leave with anyone else if their parents/ carers have not informed after-school club. If someone different is collecting your child, the staff must be aware and if they haven't seen this person before, we operate a pass word system.
The children's choices are always considered and their opinions are highly valued when planning activities and provision.
Mrs Shepherd, the after-school club supervisor, converses with the reception teacher so that she is aware of the current areas for development for the reception children, these can then be used within activities and any progress made, shared back with school.
If your child is attending a club after-school, the teacher of the club will bring them down to after-school club once their club has finished.
Breakfast is provided until 8.30am. This typically consists of toast/ crumpet/bagel with spreads, cereal or porridge and milk or water.
Snacks are provided for the after-school club children, this is only a snack and not a meal. The children are involved in choosing the menu which alternates weekly. Examples of snacks are tomato cous cous with vegetable sticks and dips, crackers with cheese and a selection of fruit.
Weather permitting, we enjoy trips to the Park and walks around the Village.
